We are a team of students from Year 1 to Year 6 who are passionate about protecting our environment. Our primary responsibility is caring for the school's wetlands. This year we are also developing new butterfly and bee gardens in the school grounds and participating in other local and national projects. Please comment in support of our efforts and projects.

Planting in our Butterfly garden continues......
A huge thanks to Jaqueline Knight for donating native hebe, hibiscus, and a rare species of kakabeak which we have planted in the native area of our bee and butterfly garden. Taylor, Gemma and Anya did a great job of planting while the boys were busy on the wheelbarrow, shifting mulch. They kept Toby very busy as he had the job of raking it out.

Hi EnviroTeam and Miss Tyson - WOW, what a fantastic job you are doing in caring for your environment.
ReplyDeleteYour butterfly garden with the new species sounds fabulous and I just love the new bridge - you are lucky to have Mr Darwent at your place.
I have been reading up on your Pest control as well as talking to Mr Henderson at NRC - another exciting venture to keep the welands operating well and allowing the wildlife to live safely. It is duck hatching season now, so wondering if you have any new ducklings on board.
Keep up the great work. I will look forward to a visit early in Term 4.
Kind regards, Julie Holt
